Son objet est rendu limpide par le titre : c\u2019est un manifeste pour une insurrection suivie d\u2019une prise de pouvoir, soit\u00a0un coup d\u2019\u00c9tat. Il fut curieusement publi\u00e9 dans une brochure et non secr\u00e8tement. Il eut un certain retentissement, tant chez les amis que les ennemis du r\u00e9gime en place.\u00a0Il s\u2019agit pour les auteurs de cet opuscule de s\u2019int\u00e9resser non seulement aux fins, la Restauration, autrement dit le renversement de la R\u00e9publique au profit du r\u00e9tablissement de la royaut\u00e9, mais aussi aux moyens, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire comment r\u00e9ussir par la force un changement de r\u00e9gime dans un contexte politique caract\u00e9ris\u00e9 par le suffrage universel (masculin), ce que le G\u00e9n\u00e9ral Boulanger n\u2019\u00e9tait pas parvenu \u00e0 accomplir\u00a0quelques ann\u00e9es auparavant.<\/p>\n

Il a trois auteurs : outre Charles Maurras,\u00a0Henri Dutrait-Crozon, pseudonyme emprunt\u00e9 par deux officiers et polytechniciens, Georges Larpent et de Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Delbecque,\u00a0Publi\u00e9 initialement en 1910, cette brochure est un recueil d\u2019articles publi\u00e9s dans la\u00a0Revue d\u2019Action fran\u00e7aise<\/em>\u00a0entre janvier et mars 1908.<\/p>\n
