M\u00e9connu en France, Soloviev est consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme un g\u00e9ant en Russie : une sorte d\u2019anti-Tolsto\u00ef qui a combattu avec ardeur les fausses th\u00e9ories de son temps. Outre sa lutte contre le modernisme \u2013 lib\u00e9ralisme, socialisme, anarchisme \u2013 qui put le s\u00e9duire dans sa jeunesse, il \u0153uvra pour l\u2019unit\u00e9, \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur du christianisme, entre Occident et Orient, ou, autrement dit, entre catholicisme et orthodoxie.
\nQuant \u00e0 l\u2019auteur de ce livre, Eug\u00e8ne Tavernier, il r\u00e9digea ce texte biographique \u00e0 l\u2019occasion de la publication par les \u00e9ditions Plon de la traduction fran\u00e7aise des\u00a0Trois entretiens sur la guerre, la morale et la religion suivis de la Courte relation sur l\u2019Ant\u00e9christ<\/em>\u00a0en 1916. Tavernier (1854-1928) \u00e9tait journaliste au quotidien catholique\u00a0L\u2019Univers<\/em>, sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9 notamment dans les questions m\u00e9taphysiques.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
