Correspondant \u00e0 la quatri\u00e8me \u00e9dition, o\u00f9, Georges Sorel, t\u00e9moin de la R\u00e9volution de 1917, apporte un soutien sans r\u00e9serve \u00e0 L\u00e9nine, ce volume aborde le probl\u00e8me de la violence tel qu\u2019il se pose dans la civilisation chr\u00e9tienne, qui la proscrit, sauf quand le faible est victime d\u2019un agresseur : d\u00e9fendre le premier contre le second, ce qui implique l\u2019usage de la violence, est alors un devoir, et ne pas agir un p\u00e9ch\u00e9 en couardise. S\u2019appuyant sur un vaste champ de r\u00e9f\u00e9rences, allant des P\u00e8res de l\u2019\u00c9glise jusqu\u2019aux socialistes ath\u00e9es en passant par les philosophes pa\u00efens de l\u2019Antiquit\u00e9 et les positivistes, l\u2019auteur vise \u00e0 d\u00e9montrer que la violence prol\u00e9tarienne est l\u00e9gitime lorsque, encadr\u00e9e par une organisation syndicale, elle prend la forme de la \u00ab gr\u00e8ve g\u00e9n\u00e9rale \u00bb, qu\u2019il \u00e9rige en mythe cens\u00e9 mobiliser efficacement les masses ouvri\u00e8res.<\/p>\n
